Welcome to Region 3 of the National Association for Interpretation. Home of G.R.I.T.S. – Great Resource Interpreters of the Southeast! Proudly serving Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, and the Virgin Islands. Region 3 encompasses 8 states and 2 territories stretching almost 2000 miles from Paducah, KY to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

In a region as large as Region 3, it is sometimes difficult to feel a part of the organization and stay connected. People are not able to physically gather very often. We hope that this web site will be our member’s portal to each other and to what is going on in and around the region. This is a place where you belong; this is your professional community. The region’s executive committee will be posting the business of the region, such as meeting minutes, and regional workshop news, but we also want you to use the web site. I encourage all of you to use the blog capability of the site to share the every day things that make interpretation so fun. Share stories, experiences and any words of professional wisdom.
