Get Involved in Region 4
The
following committees can use your help.
Interpretive Project Grants Committee
The IPG Committee will be
losing three out of four members soon and is in
need of filling these spots beginning in January
2009. I am looking for at least one Region 4
member from each state/province (MI, IN, OH, ON)
to step aboard. The committee is active
primarily in September when IPG applications are
reviewed. Members are responsible for reviewing
IPG applications (average 8-10 applications) and
returning their reviews to the IPG chair. It is
a great opportunity to see what others in Region
4 are doing and have a hand in awarding
approximately $3,000 in Region 4 grant money. If

Scholarships
and Grants Committee
We are
looking for one more committee member
(particularly from Indiana) to help review
scholarship applications, and grant applications
for regional workshops and national workshops.
Scholarships and Grants Committee members also
run the auction at regional workshops. It is a
year-round position, as the different grant
opportunities are scattered throughout the
year. The next committee member needs to keep
in mind that they cannot apply for a scholarship
or grant while they are on the committee. It's
great experience in terms of grant writing
skills, and it's an interesting way to learn
more about our NAI members. Contact chair

Awards Committee
We are
looking for one new member from OH to begin in
December 2009 and three new members, one each
from MI, IN, and OH to begin December 2010.
