Interpretation is a mission-based communication process that forges emotional and intellectual connections between the interests of the audience and the meanings inherent in the resource. The National Association for Interpretation Region 5 membership consists of interpreters from state parks, county agencies, museums, zoos, park districts, recreation facilities and many other public and private organizations from Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Manitoba, and Nunavut.
Just Announced! Special Pre-Conference Workshops
Join us for a special pre-conference Project WET (Water Education for Teachers.) The core of the program is the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide, a collection of water-related, fun, hands-on, and easy-to-use activities. The 90-plus activities incorporate a variety of formats such as large and small group learning, laboratory investigations, discussion of local and global topics, and involvement in community service projects. A Project WET Workshop is an exciting, engaging and powerful learning experience. To register email Amalia Baldwin or call (608) 264-8930.
