"More than Marshes and Mardi Gras....Finding Interpretive Pearls"
A little known fact about beautiful Caddo Lake in North Louisiana is that it was once the site of a large freshwater pearl diving industry. Do you have hidden pearls at your interpretive site? They can be precious people, natural resources, hidden or forgotten bits of history, places or things that interpreters long to share. Many of us work hard to be sure that our interpretive pearls do not remain hidden but are brought out into the light for all to appreciate. If you have a special program that you would like to share - a real knack for working with volunteers; an inventive way to train staff; or any other presentation that would help interpreters increases their skills in management, communications, development of interpretive programs, etc.- we want you to share!
If you would like to present a concurrent session, send the following information:
1. Presentation Title
2. Abstract - a brief description of your program to be printed the workshop
