Region 7 Awards
Region 7 Awards are given annually at the regional workshop or at the Regional meeting at the national workshop. Criteria are determined and nominations received by the Region 7 Awards and Recognition Team. (The Team Leader position for the Region 7 Awards and Recognition Team is OPEN. - The Colorado Open Space Alliance awarded their 2007 Blue Grama Award for Outstanding Outdoor Recreation Program to the Bobcat Ridge Environmental Education Program sponsored by the City of Fort Collins. Region 7 member Sue Kenny accepted the award for the City.
- The Colorado Lottery awarded their 2007 Starburst Award to the Morrison Nature Center at Star K Ranch in Aurora, Colorado for exceptional use of Lottery Funds. Region 7 member Linda Strand accepted the award for the City.
- CAEE - 2007 Environmental Education Award, for PreK - Elementary School programs to Aurora, Colorado - AWQUA Lounge (see www.caee.org) Mary Ann Bonnell will accept the award for the City.
