The NAI Region 8 Mascot Jacket
Attention Region 8 Interpreters! We are creating a mascot jacket that will represent our region. We will display the jacket at our booth at the coming national workshop in Portland, as well as at any future regional and national conferences and events. We feel this jacket will make a fitting symbol for the questing spirit and loving stewardship of all Region 8 interpreters.
We would like to have any interested Region 8 sites and organizations represented on the jacket either with a patch or a pin.
The jacket is currently at the embroiderer’s getting a custom-made NAI patch for its front. The jacket’s back and sleeves will be used for displaying patches and the remaining front space will be used to display pins. It should look quite amazing and will serve as a unique mascot for our diverse and beautiful region!
If you would like your site or organization represented, here’s how to participate:
If your site/organization has a pin but no patch, bring your pin to Portland or mail it to Michael Peach at 40 Camino Del Sol, Sedona, AZ 86336. (Make sure to include an email address so I can contact you and let you know I got it.)
If you want to put your site/organization’s patch on the jacket, please contact me ASAP at coyote@esedona.net so I can add your address to the jacket’s traveling itinerary. The jacket will make its rounds to regional sites from August to late October.
“My site doesn’t have a patch or a pin, only hiking stick collars. Can we still get in on this?” Of course! Just bring the collar to Portland or send it to me at the above address and we’ll find a way to affix it to the jacket or put it on an accompanying hiking staff.
